Running Accomplishments:

I have lost 90 pounds. This more than any thing else is my greatest accomplishment. After my collegiate running career I sadly stopped running and kept eating all the way to 265 pounds. After a lot of soul-searching and even more running I am now 175, the same weight I was in college.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep running. I simply run for greater health. I enjoy the struggle for self improvement.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I would like to amass enough race t-shirts to make blankets for every bed in the house, as well as finally run a marathon. (Oct 15th SoJo Marathon)

It felt great to get a good long run in today. This is a landmark run for me because it ties my lifetime long distance run record. I know some people in this blog will this distance and longer before breakfast, however for me it is a really good run. Some day soon I am going to have to check off a marathon form my goal list.

Oh, you could run a marathon in 4 weeks if you wanted to with a run and splits like that! You really could. SoJo marathon is October 13ish, wonderful course and you might just take overall! :)

Nice job, but as a side note, I was slightly confused, because your total mileage says 13. I thought "13 miles in 2 hours - that's not like Kurt!" Then I saw you had 18 splits :)

Awesome work out there!! Where did you run this?

Thanks for catching my typo RAD, I’m not used to putting in 18 miles. I’ll have to take a look at that SoJo Marathon. For this run I ran from my apartment in Midvale south on 900 east to about 90th south, take 90th west bound to the Trax line, then along the trail that follows the Trax line to the South. I turned around in South Draper, just north of 13800 south on the Porter Rockwell Trail. This is just about where the trail starts climbing up to cross the Point. It was a fun run.
