Running Accomplishments:

I have lost 90 pounds. This more than any thing else is my greatest accomplishment. After my collegiate running career I sadly stopped running and kept eating all the way to 265 pounds. After a lot of soul-searching and even more running I am now 175, the same weight I was in college.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep running. I simply run for greater health. I enjoy the struggle for self improvement.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I would like to amass enough race t-shirts to make blankets for every bed in the house, as well as finally run a marathon. (Oct 15th SoJo Marathon)

I really didn't want to push this run so I was surprised when I ended up with a sub 7 average. I was not very happy with the gels that I used on this run, but I'm glad that I did. Now I know not to use the same gel on my marathon.

During this whole morning all I could think about was the Saint George Marathon what was going on down there, where people were in the race, how everyone was doing. I ‘m so jealous! I can’t wait to read all the race reports. Congratulations, to all those who ran SGM today!

Nice job on an 'easy' run! Working out the fuel thing is a good kink to work out before hand. Can't wait to see your marathon!!!

Thanks. I'm getting more nervous reading all the race reports. It seems like you need a solar eclipse to have a good marathon. Soooooo many things can go wrong. Things that you have no control of.

I am reading this way late, but so TRUE!!!! We did have a full moon this past week....
