Running Accomplishments:

I have lost 90 pounds. This more than any thing else is my greatest accomplishment. After my collegiate running career I sadly stopped running and kept eating all the way to 265 pounds. After a lot of soul-searching and even more running I am now 175, the same weight I was in college.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep running. I simply run for greater health. I enjoy the struggle for self improvement.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I would like to amass enough race t-shirts to make blankets for every bed in the house, as well as finally run a marathon. (Oct 15th SoJo Marathon)

It was so refreshing to finally log some miles with another runner. This was the first time in years that I have done a training run with someone. Chad, from the blog, was kind enough to let me tag along on his 12 miler today. This was a fantastic course in a neighborhood that I used to live in. We were able to do the entire run without stoping for traffic, this was also a first in a long while for me. The course featured wide shoulders, light traffic, and about 550 feet of climb and decent. All said and done this was a great way to end the week. Thanks Chad!

I'm glad you had a great run! Chad is a wonderful running partner. He's slowed down enough for me a couple times :)

Wish I would've been around the 'hood as well to cross paths and say hello. We'll all have to meet sometime in Lehi - I'll catch you two at the beginning and the end :)

Thanks RAD. Chad is a great running partner, and I’m sure he didn’t have to slow much to run with you. I have seen you running. Is there a group that runs on the weekend in Lehi?

Me and a bunch of other crazies usually get together at Lehi Jordan River Parkway to do our long Saturday runs. Sometimes we are elsewhere, but we frequent that one often.

Hey Rachel and Kurt thanks for the compliments. I guess those were markers for the South Valley Half that we came across (would have been an interesting race). And Rachel nice job at Park City (sounded like a blast) and I hope to see you Thursday morning (just send that email on over).
