Running Accomplishments:

I have lost 90 pounds. This more than any thing else is my greatest accomplishment. After my collegiate running career I sadly stopped running and kept eating all the way to 265 pounds. After a lot of soul-searching and even more running I am now 175, the same weight I was in college.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep running. I simply run for greater health. I enjoy the struggle for self improvement.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I would like to amass enough race t-shirts to make blankets for every bed in the house, as well as finally run a marathon. (Oct 15th SoJo Marathon)

Tonight I ran in my new Nike free run shoes. They are very light, and have a good feel to them. They felt a little odd when I first put them on, but I attribute that to them being new. I think They will work out well.

My run was a good cap to a high millage day for me. It felt nice and smooth, that is except for the unplanned urgent stop at the gas station. I think I need to wait more than 20 minuets after dinner to do my runs. Maybe give my food more of a chance to digest.

I love that you could still kick my butt in a race even pushing the stroller. You are such a strong runner! Nice work Kurt! Hopefully, it was a single and not a double stroller...might make me feel a little better :)

Great run and hopefully you're taking a little bit of a rest day? Or a two a day?

Thanks allie. If I am ever going to get to the next level and do 2-a-days I have to do one of the runs with a stroller. Its not so bad though. My youngest loves it, he always points out the garbage trucks.

RAD, it is a streamlined, greased wheeled, single stroller with a small kid. So its really not that much harder than running without it, that is unless it is windy, than its like hauling around the anchor from the Queen Marry. And Ya, I took it easy Sunday on my 8 miler. Today I plan on doing another 12 after dinner, but it will be at an easy pace. Tomorrow will be a low mileage rest day then I’ll get back to speed work on Thursday.

Nice long running. When I try running with a stroller it give me a neck cramp. I love running in Frees. They feel so.. well Free.
